Company Overview

The Resource Foundation (TRF), www.resourcefnd.org, is a New York City-based nonprofit that is a leader in facilitating philanthropic giving to Latin America and the Caribbean. Our mission is to empower low-income communities with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they need to improve their lives. We do so by connecting corporate, foundation and individual donors to high-impact, locally driven development initiatives throughout the region.

TRF was founded in 1987 on the belief that the most effective way to promote sustainable development in Latin America is to support local initiatives. To that end, we provide tailored, value-added services to donors and social investors and to our network of more than 370 partner organizations on the ground. To date, TRF has facilitated over $100 million in grants to support the work and build the local capacity of expert nonprofits in 30 countries.

TRF helps donors maximize their impact by targeting the most pressing issues across the development spectrum, including: education and job skills, financial inclusion, healthcare and HIV/AIDS, gender equity, women’s empowerment, water and sanitation, disaster relief and many others. Generous donors representing Fortune 500 multinational corporations, community and family foundations, private foundations, individuals and wealth advisors, partner with TRF to support programs that create lasting change.
