Since its inception in 1943, The Spartanburg County Foundation has provided leadership for the community while granting more than $96 million dollars to improve the overall quality of life for citizens in the Spartanburg County area. The Foundation uses its financial resources to lead in the advancement of education, arts and culture, historic preservation, health, social services, recreation and youth activities within the County. Beyond its grantmaking, The Spartanburg County Foundation continues to convene groups, form partnerships and promote philanthropy, while acting as a catalyst for community change throughout Spartanburg County.
